FAQ – The Blyde Short-Term Rentals

A: You can book on our website: www.theblyde.com/bookings
A: 8am till 6 pm Mondays to Fridays (After hours number will be issued to guests checking in only)
A: Sleeps up to 2 people, 1 bathroom with shower. 1 Parking Bay. Security at the gate will only allow the correct amount of people allocated to the unit size.
-Weekdays: R950 per night
-Weekend R1.950 per night
Holiday Rates are higher and should be confirmed on our site or by our staff
A: Sleeps up to 4 people with 2 bathrooms, 2 showers & baths. 2 Parking Bays. Security at the gate will only allow the correct amount of people allocated to the unit size.
-Weekdays: R1.695 per night
-Weekends: 2950 per night

A: Sleeps up to 6 people, garden. 2 bathrooms, 2 showers & bath. 2 Parking Bays. Security at the gate will only allow the correct amount of people allocated to the unit size.

A: Minimum of 2 nights stay on weekends.
A: You can EFT the money within 12 hours of the booking into our bank account. Once payment has been made and proof of payment received, we can then load your information onto our system and send you booking confirmation. If EFT payments are not made with12 hours of the booking will be canceled

A: You can do an Instant EFT or credit card payment online or directly to our bank account. Once payment has been made and proof of payment received, we can then load your information onto our system and send you booking confirmation. If EFT payments are not made with12 hours of the booking will be canceled.
A: What is our cancellation policy?
If cancelling 14 days before arrival, you forfeit 100% of the total booking value.
If cancelling 21 days before arrival, you forfeit 50% of the total booking value .
If cancelling 30 days before arrival, you forfeit 30% of the total booking value .
If cancelling before 30 days of your arrival there will be a Standard cancelation fee of R500
A: Yes a R1000 security deposit is required, Should the security be call out for noise, your security deposit will not be refunded; please note other residents living in the complex, No noise or music after 10pm. Refunds are processed within 7 days after check out. Should the security be called for the 2nd time, or you refuse to open the door, another R1000 will be issued, if payment is not made before you leave, security will not allow you to leave the complex before payment is made. if the security are called out for the 3rd time, your power will be cut for the whole night. if security is called for the 4th time, they will call the police and you will be removed by the police from the unit & complex without a refund. PLEASE RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES RIGHTS
A: Please note, no guests will allowed to use the lifestyle center or beach on day of check out

A: Please note all guests must fill in the check in forms which will be sent to you and then sent to estate manager to issue codes before checkin

– The Beach
A: All apartments are self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen. There is also a restaurant on site that offers breakfast, lunch and supper for affordable prices. No food is allowed on the beach and in the lifestyle center.
A: Secure parking is provided on the premises allocated to your unit free of charge. Car will be clamped if you use the wrong parking pay. R500 fine will be required to unclamp your car.
A: All apartments don't have a braai stand/ braai area.
A: Quotes will not be issued due to a high volume of inquiries, invoices will be issued once payment has been made.
A: Prices are not charged per person; prices are charged per a unit/apartment.
A: We require a 30% deposit in order to secure the apartment for you. Deposit will be half of total amount within 12 hours of the booking otherwise the booking will be canceled .

A: Please note the estate manager issues check in details to the security at the gate with your full details, name, ID number, cell number & car registration number, Please make sure our staff issue you with the Unit number, lock box number and the Wifi codes before checking in which will be issued to you on day of check in before arrivals. An after hours number will be sent to you with our on duty manager details. Please use your unit number at the gate when checking in with the security, as they only use unit number to check guests in.

A: Check in starts at 14:00pm. There will be no staff on site after 5pm. All units self-catering self-check in.
A: Check out is at 10:00am. As per Estate Rules.
A: Please note no drop off’s, TAXI & UBERS are not allowed into the complex. Please notify our office so we can make arrangements to pick you up at the gate before 5.30pm.
A: You must pay the balance 7 days before check in.
A: Prices do not include breakfast as these are self-catering apartments with a fully equipped kitchen. There is a restaurant on site that offers breakfast, lunch and supper for affordable prices.
A: Massages at the Spa start from R520 per person.
A: 30% deposit is required to secure the booking. Payment plans can be arranged with management should you require this service.

A: We have a restaurant on site called Vista. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner which can be ordered directly by the guest, there is a delivery service is available.
